Keeping in touch with runners

Farnham Race defeats the elements

I dressed very carefully for the Farnham Race today - just as well. I think I nearly died! Settled for a position at the finish - the effort and smiles as the runners reached the end was remarkable. The runners will have missed the brave efforts of the home Club to deny the cold wet wind blowing all their efforts away was remarkable and successful. I award my own Club, Liss Runners, for just about stopping its kit pile reaching the Pole in one bound. The catering team did likewise.

A "Mike Williams" who is not our Mike Williams, Havant AC - is receiving SXCL emails addressed to and understandably would prefer not.
Please fix this if you are in a position to do so. Bob

Rules Discussion

The 2017/18 Season got off to a great start thanks to our race host Club pulling out all the stops as usual. There followed a debate as to the merits of changing the start with men and women starting separately. The outcome was that there was a strong preference for continuing with our current single start. This will be considered by the annual meeting of Club Representatives - the discussion agreed that this was far from being a simple decision and was subject to the constraints of our different Courses.

1st Race - HBAC

Wow! HBAC got us up and running with a tremendous race with fine weather to boot. Welcome to our new Club - Hook Runners, I hope that they enjoyed the race as much as we enjoyed their company. I'm marvelling at the the quantity, quality and speed of the results service.
